It has played about 50% of everything I have thrown at it so far.

It as a serious problem with skipping audio/video.

I have found why new Xvid and Divx have a skipping problem. (With RJ-350PDVX)

When I play a DivX or Xvid movie with VBR (variable bitrate audio) the divx or xvid is skipping.

So I have try to reencode the movie with CBR(constant bitrate audio) and the movie dont skip anymore.

Also there is a problem with all Divx 3 low motion (I cannot see the movie just a black screen with the audio)

This player really need a new firmware upgrade !

It has played everything I have thrown at it so far. I have hooked up different usb flash storage (jumpdrive etc) and all have worked. All retail cds and dvds have worked, as well as divx, xvid, mp3, and wma on both cdr and dvd+r. My only beef is that there is no longname file support. My filenames tend to be long and it gets confusing. All in all, it complements my DVP-642 nicely as a portable device.

The Good
- It performs as advertised. I have tested these formats
- DIVX 3, 4, & 5 on DVD-R & CD
- XVID on DVD-R & CD
- DVD Video
- CD
- CD-R
- MP3
- VCD
- JPEG
- Supports QPEL
- Played all my XVID files that would not play on Philips DVP 642.
- Played all my DIVX files that would not play on LiteOn 2001
- It is portable and easy to setup.
- Quiet
- It played everything I tried. I tried most of the files that did not work in my other players, however I have only had the player for a few days so I have only tried around 40 disks.
- USB works good as long as the drive is formated FAT not NTFS. Playing MP3 and AVI of off a flash drive works great.

The Bad
- Getting Disks in and out is a bit tricky (as expected)
- The remote is nothing to write home about but functions
- The manual is poor (but who reads the manual anyway)
- Does not support long file names. Not the end of the world since I have been using short names anyway (Phlips DVP 642 does not support long file names either). Still it is almost unbeleivable that a new player would not have this feature. It is really sucks when playing MP3s. If there is nothing unique in the first 8 characters of the file name the player changes to the file name to make it unique.
- The LCD display does not show much info. Blank most of the time expect when playing CDs.
- The arrow keys on the top of the player do not work.

Requires further testing.
- I tried hooking up a USB drive to the player. It appeared to get a list of files off the drive but then rebooted. It may have a problem with the volume as the drive contained 5000+ files (80 Gig Drive). I don't own a flash drive so I couldn't try that.
