I've bought two of this babies from this company, and have to say, I'm pleased with the speed at which it's delivered, and the quality of packaging.

As for the Popcorn Hour NMT A-110, it works awesome. I have yet to find a video file that it WON'T play, however, one thing that I do find a little lacking is the "fast forward" and "rewind" functions on high def content. They could certainly do well to improve the programming behind these functions for high def content. SD content I'm completely satisfied with these functions.

Overall it's a two thumbs up on the A-110. Being able to throw a nice big HD inside sure has been a godsend!

Great product sold by a great company!

Thanks and will be back when it's time for me to buy another Popcorn Hour. Probably in the new year I'll grab the C200 just for fun!

Cheers.

This device is very good and I plan to buy a second one (second TV!) really soon (today?).

About the 10/100 interface... the processor in this box is not really speedy for Network operation, maximum transfer rate is about 40 mbits/sec. Gigabit would give nothing.

Also, if the sound in your movie is in DTS (with the A-100 anyways), the device will NOT convert the sound to your TV (thru HDMI), you absolutely need and amplifier to "convert" the sound, so in my case this is a problem. AC3, MP3 is not a problem. My solution: use Handbrake (freeware) to re-code (it's absolutely time consuming) the sound to AC3...

Beside this DTS stuff, the device read about any video format.

Still, HIGHLY recommended.

This is a fantastic device, although it takes a bit of time to set up properly.

I bought it with the bundled wifi stick and was surprised that it was not recognized by the system from the get go. I had to download the latest firmware (on to a USB stick) and run the update. After that, the wireless options appeared in the setup.

I quickly learned to set the video output option too, because leaving it on 'auto' made the startup time a lot longer, as A110 did its best to go through all the modes to find the optimal one.

Finally, I had to play around with my network setup a bit to get the streaming working correctly with my NAS. Popcorn Hour forums (networkedmediatank.com) are a great source of info if you need help figuring out settings and issues.

It's been about a week now and so far A110 has been able to play all the videos that I could throw at it - and over wireless connection too! Admittedly, it's not the best photo browser or a music player, but when it comes to video playback, it's great.

Only Best Rated shipped my order very FAST !!! So I could enjoy my new A-110 NMT (Networked Media Tank) really fast (2 days to Quebec).

Really nice packaging and everything is included even the HDMI cable.

I only use the networked part of my new NMT because all my media are hosted on a Windows 2003 Server with 1.5TB of storage. Once I've figured out that I must use IP address instead of the network name for the SMB share to work properly, I was able to really put the unit to the test.

It worked great with ALL my media (Xvid, Divx3-4-5-6, MKV, DVD-ISO, WMV)... everything worked at first try.

I've also tried reading media from a USB stick and it worked at first try.

The only downside is the Web Portal Service that will not stream great, Youtube as an example will play a few seconds then hang then nothing. But there is a new firmware coming that should fix most of it.

The Popcorn Hour Community is very active and there are lots of info, guides and how-to on the web so it's great for the future.

No NMT is perfect but this is the one I prefer A++.

For the most part, the device works as promised. All xvid AVIs work, and most .mkv x264 files works as well, with a few failures; the older the file, the more likely it is to fail (perhaps the codec changed?).

Fast-forwarding through files fails from time to time (x264 files). The timer continues, but the video is frozen and there is no audio. Fortunately, the Time-Seek function on the remote provides a workaround.

One USB port was moved from the front to the back. This is a little inconvenient, as my USB drive requires two USB ports.

I installed a hard drive - very easy, but I would have liked the ability to copy from one media source to another (USB drive to internal hard drive) to load it up with kids shows, etc.

The 10/100 network port should be gigabit to handle the larger file sizes.

Overall, however, I am very satisfied with the device. It allowed me to cancel my cable service while still watching high-definition televeision shows.
