Review about Mvix Ultio MX-800HD 1080p H.264 MKV Media Center

It has supported all the files I've thrown at it including excellent subtitle support (especially the idx/sub support). The price is right. Basically I really like it and would recommend it to most people. The only very minor issue I have is with the slight fan noise. It doesn't bother most people (in fact noone I know) but I prefer fanless and noiseless operations for both computers and media players. Other than that this is a great buy in my opinion. The mvixusa support people have been very responsive to the few issues I have brought up (including the fan). I have streamed 720p files over the ethernet just fine. The USB N wireless adapter is not quite ready for sale just in case you require that. There are wireless G usb devices that work.
I have tried quite a few a these media players and this one is a favourite. i have been running it for about 2 weeks for long periods of time. samba (windows' networking) works fine, though you need an internal drive to make use of the server part. Otherwise a samba client is included. There is a version 1.1 firmware upgrade which enhances the remote and installing the samba server, if you have an internal drive, is simple via a usb stick. The download is available from mvixusa's site.
